We are frequently asked to describe our approach to wellness and the use of food herbs, we'll attempt to
convey the basics here.

In order to re-gene which simply means to promote healthy cellular division we need to understand a few
basics.

1. The most important consideration, and this is also a mind-set, is that the remarkable body is an
instrument that must be trusted. It possesses the intelligence to heal, repair and direct our attention toward
areas that need addressing.

2. Our interest must be in supporting the body and bringing it into alignment and toward its own ability to
heal. Addressing the symptoms on a case by case basis does not get at the root of the issue.

3. We must support our systems with energy/food in order to empower it to do its job. (Isn't it a relief that
we don't need to play chemist with our body, we simply need to feed it properly).

4. We must pay attention to nature for the answers to establishing health.

Our method of supporting the body systems is both precise and well established.
Any food we put into our body must be a whole food, meaning -it's all there.

1. Amino acids, which make up proteins and enzymes
2. Fatty acids
3. Vitamins
4. Minerals
5. Carbohydrates

If any one component is missing the body must beg, borrow and steal components from other systems in
order to create a whole food and address the most critical issue of the moment. This is why in the raw
food movement we hear so much about enzymes and creating an enzyme deficit in the body by eating
cooked food. Any food that is heated to a significant degree is now enzyme inactive; so the "well" of
deficits become deeper and deeper with each of the processes and synthesis our food scientists create, this
is to say: the further we get from nature, the less our bodies are able to recognize and utilize the energy.

The system we follow is the same as used for the emperors of China, (after all, when the emperor died, the
attending physician was also sent to his death, and there in-lied the motivation to keep him alive). The Five
Element Theory (or law depending on who you talk to) establishes the order of not only the way the body
maintains balance, but all of nature. We work with concentrated food herbs inorder to bring the body into
balance using these philosophies.

Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood correlate to elements in nature and explain the progression of energy
in a system. According to traditional Chinese understanding each element corresponds to an organ system.

Fire is the endocrine system
Earth is the digestive system
Metal is the respiratory system
Water is the circulatory system
Wood is the defense system

By assuring that each system is nourished properly we establish health as well as satisfying cravings.

Each element and system also correlate to a taste, and when each of the five tastes: Bitter, Sweet, Pungent,
Salty and Sour are represented in a meal the cravings are satisfied.

A meal, or dish therefore must be a "universe" in-of-itself; complete and whole by containing each of the
five aspects and components of a whole food; when it does we too feel complete.

It takes a season to make a change. While true in many regards, it holds particular truth in the realization
that within a season, 3-4 months, nearly every cell in the body is replaced. If we are on a regenerative path
we will feel younger, have clarity of mindbodyspirit and feel more energetic with each new season. If we
are on a degenerative path we will feel weaker, exhibit increased number of symptoms and experience our
minds literally slipping away.

By feeding and balancing each of the five organ systems we are able to empower the body to not only
have proper cell division but to also coordinate the 5 systems in concert toward the truly ultimate goal of
higher mind not to mention super-immunity and health beyond measure.

There is a heierarchy to healing on how the body prioritizes the nutrients coming into our
body. Through our choices we can return to a state of well-being and optimum health.
1st: Vital organs must be fed.
The heart needs to beat to support life, our lungs need to carry oxygen,
and all organs need proper nutrition to perform their jobs well.
2nd: Muscles.
Muscles allow us to move to get to the food. They also squeeze toxins out of the lymphatic system
as they contract.
3rd: Elimination.
Cleansing happens when we have enough nourishment to eliminate everyday.
4th: Fat Maintenance.
Our body uses oils/fats for sustaining energy and endurance.
5th: Defense.
When we have enough nutrition we can nourish
organs of the defense system such as the liver.
6th: Regeneration
Proper cell division gives rise to healthy new cells
and the body can then go to work to repair old
broken down parts. When we eat enough system
specific foods every day, our body builds a trust
that it can (after 1-3 months) go to work on some
more serious healing situations. Consistency is
KEY here. It's not what we do once in awhile, it's
what we do every day that will give us our new
miracle body.

all forms of well-being begin.
We were all raised to believe the "Aging Process" will slowly but surely deteriorate
our bodies. We have a choice! Proper Nutrition begins with food that is grown in soils
rich in minerals. Organic simply means grown without pesticides and herbicides.
How the body uses energy.
This also explains why it can be a challenge to loose weight.
Before vitality, superior health, overcoming sickness, higher energy levels or longevity can be achieved, we
must begin eating Nutrient Dense Foods. These are real foods that are never the result of the processing
activity.These foods are in the raw state and are electromagnetically charged with a "life force" that is
separate and distinct from the caloric energy that is released from food by digestion, enzymatic action and
assimilation. We must begin eating whole, natural, and enzyme active foods that have not been refined,
processed, overcooked or preserved with chemicals. These actions plus microwaving and the new problem
of food irradiation with Cobalt-60 and Cesium 137 render our foods lifeless and devoid of any enzyme
activity.
